Data Logger – MPD5G-T1

Data logger are designed to read and store data. There are many options to choose from but the most versatile and updated version is MPD5G-T1. This is a readout unit with a 7-inch LCD/touch interface by which you can surf through the menus and select the sensor type and read your data. Data can be in different types (including Freq., V, mV, mA etc.) from different sensors. You can also save up to 32 million records in its internal storage. There is a USB port available to export data from the unit. The ABS casing protects the electronic parts from ingress of water and dust (IP65). Internal battery lasts for a long time and is suitable for up to 10 hours of continuous usage. A charger is also provided with the unit to be used to recharge the internal battery. To connect the unit to the sensors, a general purpose cable is provided by which you can read all sorts of sensors. Crocodile clips makes connection easy and universal for all types of instruments. Only one cable is enough to read all types of sensors.

Some of the applications of this instrument are:

  • Measuring output from strain gauge based instruments.
  • Reading mV from Wheatstone Bridge circuits.
  • Record mA data from Pressure cells and other pizoresistive sensors.
  • Connect and read frequency data from many VW instruments.
  • Reading Voltage of all types of Potentiometers.

To use the unit, one should turn on the power button and connect the cable (which is provided with the unit) to the instrument. You should then select the instrument type from the menu and push the “Start Reading” button to store the data. To export data, you can connect your PC to the USB port and upload data.
